We write fiction and love reading literature. We want to talk with others who are on the fiction writing path about literature. We read excellent fiction, discuss it from a craft perspective, and practice writing pastiches based on those readings. We love the chance to share our pastiches with each other. Consider this a kind of graduate level literary fiction reading/writing/workshop. I am open to location/dates/times/number of times/number of members with the following caveats: If we are going …
The Washington DC Write to Publish Group is unlike most writers’ groups which focus on critiquing each other’s work. Instead this group is dedicated to the "business side" of writing and educate authors (and would be authors) on what they can expect as they go from finished project to available for sale. Much of what is covered in these seminars can also be found online here: http://www.write2publish.blogspot.c

A group of fiction writers from Frederick (and beyond!) who want to workshop their writing on bi-weekly basis. This group is for those wanting to express themselves through writing (novels, short stories, screenwriting, and what have you). Together, we’ll learn to improve our craft. We’ll share what we have written, get ideas, and grow as a group. All fiction writers, regardless of experience, are welcome. There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed. -- Ernest H …

Although, we sometimes do structured writing and art activities, the group, overall, is more of a social art and writing session. We typically meet in and around Silver Spring, Rockville, an …

We're currently a small group, but interested in expanding in both numbers and styles. We read and critique each other's work, whether it's fiction, poetry, autobiography or something...completely different. Your submission can be any size and as explicit as you'd like. As the head of the group, I can proudly say that I've completed a novel, including heavy revisions, and very nearly have an agent! So any help you'd like on that front can also be offered. I should have added this part sooner, so …
